We went to the San Francisco Zoo. Freya wanted to go and see the Kangaroos, and it was a long walk. On the
way we saw bears, elephants, and a large snake from the rainforest exhibit.
We got to the lion's cage at feeding time, remember the big tiger? There was very loud roaring. That was
what all the people wanted to see and hear, the roaring for the food.
Freya wanted to walk up on the Golden Gate Bridge. We walked up to the first tower, and spent a long time
looking down at the surfers in the water under the bridge. We saw the boats that Grandpa Eddie used to operate. Freya said,
"and I never been with Grandpa Eddie."
That day became very windy, too windy to go out of the car at the beach. We visited Baker's Beach and also
Ocean Beach, but we couldn't play near the water.
We drove to Bolinas one day, and saw Ray's art exhibit. There we went onto the beach and played near the
water.
Another day Marenka took us to Fairyland in Oakland, and here in the sunshine we had some fun at the merry
go round. Freya was too scared to put her head in the Lion's mouth exhibit. But she didn't mind being one of the three little
pigs.
